Praise and Delight

Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord.
-Psalm 150:6

Praise is always attached to an action of the Lord, whether it be as thankfulness for His creation or for His dispensing of mercy; for the wonders He performs on our behalf or the faithfulness and stability of the heavens He placed around us. Praise is not an unattached sentiment to be uttered just because we ought to praise God because we’ve been told to do so. Praise is a personal ‘thank you’, so get personal about what God has done for you.

Today, take the time to remember what the Lord has done and continues in His faithfulness to do on our behalf. Delight in the Lord just as He “takes delight in His people” (Psalm 149:4).

The Lord is coming!
