The only thing that counts is
Faith expressing itself through love.
Everyone has their rituals, and this is especially true when it comes to religion. Those who follow Yeshua Ha’Mashiach are called to the ritual of simplicity – ‘faith expressing itself through love’. It doesn’t matter which denomination you hang with or what their weekly rituals are, if they do not exercise the ‘ritual of simplicity’, which is ‘faith expressing itself through love’, then you really need to ask yourself what you are doing there and why you are going through the motions of anything other than ‘faith expressing itself through love’?
Most rituals are actually ‘memorials’ performed to remember something that once was – communion is one such ‘memorial’, and it does us good to remember what the Lord has done for us. But the ‘ritual of simplicity’ is not a memorial, it is living by the Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit provides the evidence that we are living the ‘ritual of simplicity’:
