He is our father [Abraham] in the sight of God
In whom he believed—
The God who gives life to the dead
And calls things that are not as though they were. …
The words “It was credited to him” [Abraham]
Were not written for him alone
But also for us
To whom God will credit righteousness—
For us who believe in him who raised
Jesus our Lord from the dead.
-Romans 4:17b, 24
We are two millennia away from an event that reshaped the whole world. We have no YouTube video of that event just the written words of a few of those who witnessed a spiritual tsunami that swept aside the forces of darkness and raised Yeshua Ha’Mashiach from the dead, and transformed Him in the ‘twinkling of an eye’ to life eternal. And although we weren’t there, and are so far removed from the event we can almost liken ourselves to 100 year old Abraham believing God would give him a son through his barren 90 year old wife, we too have faith in God that He will do for us what He did for Yeshua.
For those who struggle with what ‘faith’ is or who believe they are lacking in ‘faith’ – if you have believed that ‘God gives life to the dead’ and raised Yeshua, then you have ‘faith’ and are in no way lacking in it – your strength is that Foundation. As long as we believe God resurrected Yeshua, ‘God will credit righteousness’ to our account.
Turn, believe God, see that you are not ‘lacking’, find your strength in the resurrected Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.
The Lord is coming!
