And I am God.
Ever since day was, I am He;
None can deliver from My hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?
The beauty of the finch is not its delicate size, its song, or its habit. Its beauty lies in its obedience to go where the Lord directs it to fly. On a morning, when it is traveling with a flock through the birches seeking morsels to fuel its day, it breaks from the pack and flies to the post near the human and hangs upside down. For a moment lasting longer than a finch’s usual stay anywhere, its presence lets the human know that God is saying ‘Good morning!’ The beauty of its presence reflects the beauty of the Lord’s presence, as well as Creation’s obedience to His call. When the Lord commands, will you obey? Will the beauty of your obedience and presence to speak to a needy heart? Will you hear His call, leave the flock, and bring hope and joy to another? Turn and obey the beauty of His Holiness.
The Lord is coming!
